Soon everyone was sleeping soundly, including Gwydion and Frederick. But in the middle of the night Gwydion startled because he thought he had heard a noise. Through the tend door he could see that there was someone trying to sneak away. Gwydion thought, "If you think you can escape unseen, you're on the wrong track." Gwydion followed. but at some point the thief went into a rock cave up to a wall and there the thief went in and was gone. The only explanation Gwydion had was that there was also a portal here. He knew there was no point in following him because he could be anywhere by now. So he decided to go back. When he got to the camp, the guards were not where they should be and the whole camp was awake. Gwydion thought, it was because someone had entered the camp that knocked a guard down. After no one could find Gwydion, the camp was in turmoil. The baron stood outside and said relieved: “There you are, that would answer the question. Where have you been? ” Gwydion said that he had followed the thief. Gwydion thought to himself that he shouldn't tell the baron about the portal. That is why he said that he had lost the thief. He didn't want to tell the baron that because when he told the baron about the dragon, the baron had said he shouldn't say something like that. That's why he didn't want to do it this time. "You say you lost him?" Then Gwydion nodded. "Too bad," said the baron, "then it probably won't make sense to try to follow, I think after this night we deserve more sleep."On the next morning everyone was well rested and fit. The first conversation between the people in the camp was one between Gwydion and the servant of El Habib: "Is it normal here that there are so many criminals?" "Aem so yes," replied the servant of El habib, "then El habib intervened:" well, "he said," it is a bit tricky here, but it doesn't matter, we just struggle through it. " Again El habib's servant interfered: "I think we shouldn't take it too roughly, I think it is better if I show you how to make a bow."“So,” he said, “for a bow, we first take flexible wood, then some string, a pointed stone, then we cut holes in the stick, then we bend the stick and then we knot the string in the holes firmly when the stick is bent. The bow is finished."Oh thanks," said Gwydion, "Now we can at least defend ourselves a little."The next night Gwydion woke up again, but the sound didn't sound like a burglar, so he didn't get up. The sound sounded something like a squeak followed by a beep, and again he heard a hiss followed by a snarl. At breakfast the next day, everyone noticed that sometimes things were missing and gwydion knew why, because he could see that obsidian sometimes stole something. and because obsidian was not always inconspicuous enough, somebody else saw how obsidian stole something and breathed on it. But when Obsidian breathed, no ordinary air came out of his mouth, but a burst of fire. “Help” the man who was watching Obsidian called “The lizard is a dragon”, the baron heard that too and said “Someone said that but slowly I'm thinking about whether I should be surprised”Everyone at the table agreed. When everyone had strengthened, the baron said: “Now let's travel on so that we can always stay on the verse of the thief, overtake him at some point and then catch him. In any case, it would be annoying if he got away from us, so we should go on. and then the caravan did it, firstly because they had to obey him and secondly because they were of the same opinion as him. They packed everything from the camp, whereupon the baron said: "well" to Gwydion and a few other helpers, "check if we have forgotten anything and if so bring everything to me and if possible blur all traces we have made . ” "Okay" said Gwydion, but suddenly something tickled his neck and Frederick stood laughing behind him with a palm frond and said: "I think I have something to cover traces" "Yes" said Gwydion "we can use it for that" In this opinion, all the other campers agreed and so everyone got down to work. With the help of Frederick and the other helpers, Gwydion found a lot of things they had lost, and with the palm frond, they were able to cover their tracks. While they noticed that one palm frond would never be enough, they had to look for new ones. This was not so difficult, however, because there were palm trees all around and, after everything the caravan had forgotten, everyone grabbed a frond and brushed across the sand and helped to cover up the traces the caravan had made. And soon the last footprint was blurred."Good!" the baron said when he saw what they were doing, "thanks for the compliment," said the others. "So, now let's go on, otherwise the guy is really going to escape us." "So be it" replied all caravan members. "Good," said the baron, "since we agree, we can go". Everyone agreed with him. "If that's the case then go on". And so it went on with the caravan.Over the next few days, the baron set up an office in one of the wagons. Then he could discuss things in peace and study the map. And since he often studied the map rather than discussing things, he soon had a serious reason to discuss something. As they approached the mountain. And he wanted to discuss that with Gwydion and Frederick. "How should we overcome this mountain?" He asked Gwydion and Frederik when they were in the baron's office."Well," said Frederick and Gwydion at the same time, and puzzled because the mountain was so that the way over was as long as the way around it. "Well," said the baron, "the only difference is that around the mountain there is a chance that we will end up in a swamp, but the way over it is more difficult". "Hm," said Gwydion. “The way over the mountain is difficult and the way around it has a swamp. It is difficult to get out of a swamp, I think the way over the mountain is better. What do you all mean". "I honestly believe that the way over the mountain is better," said Frederick. “The way over the mountain also seems to me to be the better option”. The baron replied, "so we'll do it that way." And so it was decided that they would take the way over the mountain.Nothing exciting happened in the next few days and the caravaners got bored until the coachman called to the baron, "over or around the mountain?" The baron stuck his head out of his office and said, "Above" "Yes," the coachman replied, "and steered the horses up the mountain. Gwydion, Frederick, and a few knights and other caravan members followed the baron's moving office up the mountain.Gwydion always had obsidian in a saddlebag on the horse, so he actually had him with him during the whole trip, only when they rested did he take obsidian in a pocket. The mountain was big, so it took a while for the cart to be on the mountain, let alone descend on the other side. The road really seemed very long and daunting to everyone. The road was also monotonous and the horses seemed to be going limp at any moment, and as I said, the mountain was still long. It seemed very hopeless, but suddenly Gwydion heard a crack, but since he had heard a crack so often, he believed that he had hallucinations, so he ignored the cracking. But suddenly he saw something orange in the bushes. At first he thought that someone had forgotten an orange in the bushes, but then he was startled: Who should forget an orange in the middle of the desert, so he looked back at the bushes and what he saw: one eye. Slowly he was sure that what he saw was not thrown away because the eye looked back and forth and then a second one appeared. That was enough for Gwydion. He shouted "stop" "a lion is sitting in the bushes" and tore his bow off his shoulder, which he made with El habib's servant the day after the night that a burglar was there, whereupon he got an arrow and put him on the bow. He pulled the bow, aimed, and yet when he was about to fire, the lion jumped out of the bushes and startled Gwydion so that he dropped the arrow and couldn't draw a new one, so he had a problem. But suddenly Obsidian hissed out of his pocket and startled the lion so that he forgot to attack for a moment. Obsidian used this moment to jump on the lion's head. Unfortunately the lion was not frozen forever, which is why he got his composure again and pounced for obsidian. But Obsidean was nimble like a weasel and when the lion tried to flung his paw at him, obsidian was already gone, which is why the claw of the lion struck directly into the lion, who backed away painfully, but immediately clenched his claws and continued with his fight against obsidian. He felt something touch his stomach, but when he was about to pad out, which would not have been a good idea for him, he already felt obsidian on his back. He wanted to hit there, but when his claw reached the back, obsidian was already gone and again the lion hit his sharp claw into his own flesh. A little swaying and raging with anger, the lion rose to new strength and when he felt obsidian on the tail, he slapped his claws in place. Again he dropped to his knees, but obsidian remained unharmed. With all his strength he got up and when he felt Obsidian on his ear he tried to reach for Obsidian, but it had taken all his strength to get up, so he couldn't do it, whereupon Obsidian let out a breath of fire and dashed back into Gwydion's pocket. The lion was scared to death, jumped up and dashed off as fast as his lion's legs carried him and Obsidian looked out of his pocket and squeaked amused. Not only Gwydion and the baron, who had come out of his now no longer moving office, laughed, no, the other caravaners laughed at the running lion. "I don't think we'll see him again very soon," said the baron, "I think we can go on now." Everyone agreed, so the knights and other people mounted their horses and the baron got into his now again moving office and the train continued. The rest of the day nothing happened except that Gwydion noticed that there was a lion's claw in obsidian, which Gwydion carefully pulled out of obsidian and showed to the baron. The baron said after the trip he could get the claw tied into a chain that Gwydion could carry. Gwydion thought that was a good idea and put the claw in his pocket.
